Surrender to a Higher Love – Alchemy of the Heart

Alchemy of the Heart: How to Give and Receive More Love by Elizabeth Clare Prophet

Love like you’ve never been hurt. Dance like nobody’s watching. —Satchel Paige

At one time or another we’ve all felt like Charlie Brown when he said, “Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.”

Perhaps a relationship or a friendship didn’t work out and we feel abandoned or rejected. Or we loved someone only to realize that they weren’t what we thought they were. Sometimes the sorrow or the guilt is almost unbearable.

We gave so much of our heart—for what? Sometimes the answer, the “for what,” is in the pain itself.

Your pain,” wrote Kahlil Gibran, “is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

When you are in pain because your love has been rejected, you can ask God to heal the hurt, to bless the one you have loved and to help both of you become more of your true self.

Most of all, you can ask God to show you why you are hurting.

Maybe we hurt because we expected something unrealistic in return for our love or we expected others to fill in the blanks in our own self-esteem—a job that only we can do by loving and nurturing ourselves. Maybe we were leaning on the human personality rather than seeking the spiritual essence that lies beyond the personality.

Whatever the source of the pain, if we pay attention to it, it can teach us.  The most important thing to remember is that no love is ever wasted.

There is no unreturn’d love,” wrote Walt Whitman, “the pay is certain one way or another.”

No matter what happens, love is always worthwhile because every moment of loving brings us closer to the higher love our souls are seeking.

At the most fundamental level of our being, we are yearning to reunite with our divine lovers—God and our “twin flame.” Our twin flame is our “other half,” as Plato described it, our original partner who was created with us in the beginning.*

Twin flames have often been lured away from each other and temporarily detoured en route to their divine destiny together. These sidetracks have snared us into circumstances where we have created negative karma with others.

In many cases, we aren’t free to be with our twin flame until we first balance these karmic debts with others. The only thing that will free us from these karmic entanglements is love.

So every morsel of love we give not only helps us balance our karmic debts, but it also brings us that much closer to reunion with our twin flame and with God. Realizing that love can help balance the debts we owe others has helped me see all kinds of relationships as learning experiences and opportunities to give more love, even if that love seemed to be rejected.

Another way to look at our initiations of love is through the lens of bhakti yoga. In Hinduism, one of the four yogas (or paths to union with God) is bhakti, the yoga of divine love. Bhakti yoga is practiced in different ways, but at its essence it is devotion to God above all else—a devotion that leads to the heart of God.

Whenever we reach out to touch another, we are really sending the arrow of our love from our heart to God’s heart. When we serve another—whether it’s the confused child, the cranky co-worker or the eccentric elderly woman we help up the elevator—we are serving the God who lives within that one. In essence, we are surrendering to a higher love.

If we practice seeing beyond the outer personality of the one we are serving to the real goal of our love (God), we will realize that our love for anyone and everyone is really a reflection of our love for God. After all, it was God who we were in love with from the beginning to the ending. Not only that, but when we love, it is God who is loving through us.

Each one of us wears a mask, in a sense, and behind the mask is the living presence of the Spirit. God disguises himself so that we have many, many opportunities to give our love back to him by loving all these different manifestations and expressions of the Spirit. The mask itself may be seemingly imperfect, yet we know that the Lord of Love lives within. In reality, love comes from only one source, and we can be grateful that many people in our lives have been beautiful instruments of that divine love.

So when you feel a painful loss and you ask yourself, “I gave so much of my heart—for what?” ask yourself another question: Who and what have I really loved?

If you allow yourself to go deeply enough, the answer will be: All the while I was really loving the Spirit who abides within that one. The beauty and intensity of your love could not possibly have been the love for the outer self. In reality, you loved the soul and the spiritual essence expressing itself in and through that person. And that kind of love is never wasted. It is the love of God.

Maha Chohan – Great Lord

15 Jan

MAha Chohan

Representative of the Holy Spirit

The Maha Chohan is the representative of the Holy Spirit. The one who holds this office in hierarchy represents the Holy Spirit of the Father-Mother God, of Alpha and Omega, to the evolutions of this planet and to the elemental kingdom. The retreat of the Maha Chohan, the Temple of Comfort, is located on the etheric plane with a focus in the physical at the island of Sri Lanka, where the flame of the Holy Spirit and the flame of Comfort are anchored. His twin flame is Pallas Athena, Goddess of Truth.

Maha Chohan means “Great Lord,” and the Maha Chohan is the Great Lord of the seven chohans, the director of the seven chohans of the rays. Among the qualifications for this office in hierarchy is the attainment of adeptship on each of the seven rays, which merge into the pure white light of the Holy Spirit. With the seven chohans, he initiates our souls in preparation to receive the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit, spoken of in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.

The Science of the Spoken Word: Rhythm, Tone, Speed, Visualization, Songs and Mantras

27 Nov

Throat Chakra

The Science of the Spoken Word predominantly uses the throat chakra.  This chakra is one of the focal points of the emotional body. Its counterpoint is the solar plexus. Through the Science of the Spoken Word, students learn to master the water element, energy in motion, by releasing a steady, controlled stream of energy for specific creative purposes.

Control comes in a number of ways:

Rhythm

The bodies of decrees are usually written like poems, with a particular inner meter or rhythm that varies per decree. Decreers closely follow this rhythm, which becomes an ascended master imprint in the stream of energy released via the throat chakra.

Tone and Speed

Decrees may be given like spoken prayers, i.e. with emphasis on each word. This is usually how they are learned by the beginner, and how a decree is started in a decree session. At this initial level, heart contact is made and the image evoked by the decree is tuned into.

From this spoken stage, the decree begins to speed up as more repetitions are given. Soon, the decree begins to sound like a chant. As the speed increases, the tone tends to climb up the musical scale. At top speed, words are hardly discernible, but the rhythmic pulse is clearly overlaid over the chant. Sometimes, delicate overtones are heard. When decreers closely follow the decree leaders, a well-given decree becomes a thing of remarkable beauty.

Visualization

Though primarily working through the emotional body (throat chakra) and the heart chakra (pouring out of devotion to the masters in decrees), decrees are not complete without visualization. Decrees have built-in images that are intended to keep the student’s concentration focused on the task at hand. For instance, in the Michael decree above, the key images are a sword of blue flame, a blue banner, blue lightning, legions of blue-ray angels, and a blue armor.

Songs

Within the tool kit of the Science of the Spoken Word, songs represent the devotional aspect. Songs open the way for deep soul connections with the ascended hosts and with one’s higher self. They nurture the development of the heart.

Songs in The Summit Lighthouse range from gentle and meditative to strong, powerful and motivational. They make use of the music and rhythms from east and west.

Mantras

Like songs, mantras represent the devotional aspect of the Science of the Spoken Word.  Mrs. Prophet explained:

So when we sing these mantras, we’re not just singing songs; they are the means of giving devotion to God.
What I would like to point out is that the teaching of Hinduism is that the mantra is God and God is the mantra. When you recite a mantra you are putting sound into cups of light that are words. And these words, when you understand them and receive them, establish the vibration of God in your temple. This body is either a hollowed-out cage in which you are a prisoner or it is that great temple of light that you sweep clean, that you dedicate to God, where God may enter daily.[1]

The Science of the Spoken Word: Advanced Prayer

26 Nov

Advanced Prayer

The Science of the Spoken Word is the flagship spiritual practice taught by the masters via The Summit Lighthouse. It is an ancient science, practiced in the temples of Lemuria and Atlantis as well as in religious and mystery school traditions.

The Science of the Spoken Word could be considered the “big sister” of prayer. Prayer is a form of supplication to the Godhead. Practitioners of the Science of the Spoken Word primarily use an advanced form of prayer called “decrees.” A definition of “decree”:

Decree (n.): a foreordaining will, an edict or fiat, a foreordaining of events. To decree (vb.): to decide, to declare, to command or enjoin; to determine or order; to ordain.
The decree is the most powerful of all applications to the Godhead. It is the command of the sona or daughter of God made in the name of the I AM Presence and the Christ for the will of the Almighty to come into manifestation as above, so below. It is the means whereby the kingdom of God becomes a reality here and now through the power of the spoken Word. It may be short or long and usually is marked by a formal preamble and a closing, or acceptance.[1]

Decrees come in many types and forms. There are decrees for each of the seven rays, the secret rays and the ruby ray. Decree content ranges from making contact with one’s divine self to invoking God’s will in politics, ecology, education and the economy. A specific subset is that of judgment decrees, as explained in the previous unit.

Many decrees were dictated by the ascended hosts, directly to the messengers or in dictations. In those types of decrees, the master places certain thought patterns and keys to his causal body in the decree that invoke a response from him when it is given by a student.

Following the preamble of a decree, students pause to make personal spoken calls to the master or masters to whom the decree is addressed. These calls, like the decree itself, are given in the name of the student’s I AM Presence and Christ Self, with a request to adjust the directives given by the students to the will of God. This step assures that decreeing does not become karma-making by trying to impose one’s human will on specific situations.

When properly practiced, this science of decreeing truly makes the student an effective co-worker of the Great White Brotherhood.

Multiplication Factors

Decrees are usually given in sets of three. The repetition intensifies and amplifies the action. In decree sessions, decrees are often given 36, 40 or even 144 times to make maximum use of this strengthening of the sound wave that is being created.

Decrees may be given by oneself or in a group. In a group setting, the power of decrees is squared by the number of people present. A decree given by one person has the power of one. Given by nine people, it has the power of 81.

The ascended masters have released a number of dispensations that further multiply the effect of decrees. For instance, every decree uttered is automatically multiplied by the ascended hosts by the power of 10,000 times 10,000. This means that one decree spoken once by a devotee may benefit one hundred million people.

Specific masters have offered other dispensations. For instance, the Ascended Master Omri Tas has committed to multiplying every recitation of 15 minutes of solid violet flame decrees by the power of ten.

These multiplication factors explain why, though student numbers are relatively small compared to the world population, the ascended masters can bring about tremendous change through their students’ practice of this science.

Meet Your Holy Christ Self–Your Dearest Friend, Guardian and Teacher

3 Jul

Jesus explained the mystery of the Christ at the Last Supper.  He took a single loaf –symbolizing the one Word, the one Christ–and broke it and said, “This is my body, which is broken for you.” He meant, “This is the body of the Universal Christ that is individualized for each one as the Christ Self.”  Though there is but one absolute God and one Universal Christ, the body of that Universal Christ can be broken and each piece will retain all qualities of the whole.

Jesus told the disciples to eat the bread.  In other words, they were meant to assimilate and become one with the Universal Christ.  Mark Prophet, the founder of The Summit Lighthouse, summed it up nicely in a lecture he gave in 1970.  He said: I see God as a great loaf; and I see the Christ, the Universal Christ, breaking the loaf.  And the crumbs I see as the individual monads, you and me.  We are all crumbs that have fallen from the Lord’s table.   We’re each a drop of water from the infinite ocean.  We all have the qualities of the whole ocean, of infinite reality, in ourselves but we lack the quantity.  And only through reunion with the ocean, when the shinning dewdrop slips into the sea, only when we merge with God and with our Real Self can we be all that we’re supposed to be. It is our sense of separation from God that keeps us from the reality of ourselves.

Christ self of chart

The first step you can take in the process of reuniting with your I AM Presence is to develop your relationship with your Christ Self–your inner teacher, guardian, and dearest friend.  He is also the voice of conscience that speaks within your heart, showing you what is right and wrong.  Emerson writes of an “unseen pilot” that is similar to the  Christ Self.  We cannot see this pilot, he says, because it is like someone walking directly behind us.  The Christ Self is the unseen hand that helps you to see where you may be blinded by your habit patterns, many of which are shaped by your past actions.  And he helps you decide the way that is the best for your soul.

Your Christ Self overshadows you wherever you are and wherever you go.  He allows you to be “Christ conscious” at all times or, to put it another way, to have the “Christ consciousness.”  When you have the Christ consciousness, you are never in doubt or afraid. You have supreme confidence in your ability to accomplish what you have set your mind to.  You receive inspiration and guidance.  One you walk under the direction of your Christ Self, you can then begin to become one with him, which will also bring you closer to oneness with your I AM Presence.  Emerson wrote that if someone obeys the unseen pilot, it will “adopt” him.  The person will then become one with the pilot.  When a person is united with the unseen pilot, he will receive “richer and greater wisdom” and lead a “heavenly life.”

As you become closer to your Christ Self, the “unseen pilot,” you’ll realize that your Christ Self is the real you.  You’ll find yourself spending more time as the real you, a part of God, and less time being cut off from God. Eventually you, like Jesus, will experience your ascension as you become one with your I AM Presence.  The ascension is completed when you are fused your I AM Presence.  Though the path to the ascension is a journey of many lifetimes, if you focus your attention on it, you can reach it at the end of your present life.  To prepare for the ascension, you need to practice becoming one with that Presence.

Head

I AM Light, thou Christ in me,

Set my mind forever free;

Violet Fire, forever shine

Deep within this mind of mine.

God who gives my daily bread,

With Violet Fire fill my head

Till thy radiance heavenlike

Makes my mind a mind of Light.
