Sending Freedom’s Flame In God’s Name

Sending Freedom’s Flame in God’s Name

This is the purpose of America–not the enslavement of peoples, not the tolerance of the enslavement of any part of life, but the sending forth of freedom’s flame in God’s name. Therefore in this cycle let us understand that there have come together–in the movement of government and toward greater freedom in government–souls of light who by the events of this year and the misuses of power by the president of this nation and his cabinet, they have come forth with a far greater determination, a greater organization, a greater vision, and–thanks to the decrees of lightbearers–with a greater energy to implement the plan of God.

Beloved ones, there are souls of great light to the left and to the right of the center, and in the center there are those who stand but do not stand in the center of the Middle Way of the Buddha or in the center of the Christ light. Beloved children of the sun, drop then from you all misconceptions and preconceptions of the destiny of nations and study then the law of the One, call upon the violet flame, and move to that time and space where you can understand both the karma and the dharma which must determine the decisions and the vote of the representatives of the people.

There are many in office today in the federal and state governments and at local levels in each and every nation who, because they neglect to follow the law of karma and dharma, do not judge righteous judgment and therefore do not properly represent the souls of the people but in actuality represent their outer minds, outer wants, and outer desires to the very destruction of the cosmic purposes of life in earth and in this solar system.

One cycle, then, has passed. There is a great organizing and amalgamation of forces at many levels, though unseen. For the first year of the cycle is yet in the etheric plane, and the second year of the cycle will also be in that etheric plane. And so you see, ten divided by the four quadrants gives equal opportunity in the etheric, mental, desire, and ultimately the earth cycle for souls of light to bring unto fulfillment the divine plan of God.

Heaven has its plan. We at Shamballa know that plan. We urge you to invoke it from the causal body of the Great Divine Director and, above all, to invoke the spiral that is yours to contribute and the spiral of your twin flame to contribute to the overall plan of the rescue mission of earth and her evolutions.

Let us understand, then, that there is a lifewave of souls who are intended to hold the balance of the Spirit cycle, keeping the white-fire core in dynamic decrees and making as their most important goal the spreading abroad of the teachings. We have our devotees who are keeping the flame also in the Matter plane who are servants of God in government–in the states and in the nation. Some of these have no idea of the teachings of the ascended masters. Some of these are being contacted on the stumping of the Mother and Lord Shiva, the stumping of El Morya and Saint Germain and of the chelas of the flame.

The Secret of Keeping the Christmas Rose

6 Dec

The Secret of Keeping the Christmas Rose

In celebration of Christmas, the following is an excerpt from Jesus’ Christmas 1992 address, I Will Let No Man Take My Crown of Joy published in the 1992 Pearls of Wisdom Vol. 35 No. 69.

Would you not know the secret of keeping the Christmas Rose of joy–joy perpetually in the heart that nothing can move or turn aside? Would you not become the invincible manifestation of my joy, beloved? [“Yes.”]

I would also know you as the “joy fountains” in the earth where I may come and drink, where many who are without joy may drink of the fount and yet the fount should not decrease.

Oh, the perpetual giving of the flame of joy!

Oh, the laughter of the Christed ones who know this joy and who have discovered the secret of not letting go of it under any circumstance!

Is this not the true joy of self-mastery?

Indeed it is, beloved.

Well, then, when you set yourself to this determination to open the floodgates of joy that shall never be shut again–a joy that is the perpetual fountain of Life flowing through you descending from your I AM Presence–you thereby challenge all forces of doom and gloom and all sundry manifestations that happen to be along the lines of self-preference and indulgence and the dependency upon others for happiness, for fun, for laughter.

There must be a moment in your life when you say: “I will let no man take my crown of joy! I will stand and still stand. I will find the joy in every happening, in every occurrence I see. And where I see non-joy, I shall have within myself such a momentum of joy that I may fill the vacuum!”

Blessed hearts, you may not be able to convert others to joy, for so many, so many enjoy the indulgence in sadness, in self- sympathy and self-pity. So many are so accustomed to non-joy that allows the complaining and the self-indulgence that they would not know what to do with themselves if life were perpetually joyous.

Joy is an inner quietude.

It is an inner consciousness of well-being.

It is an inner point of contact with all stars and Causal Bodies.

Joy is what centers you in the crisscrossings of the great antahkarana of Life. When you are in joy, you are in sync with the great Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

Joy, then, must come by an appreciation of small things and great, an appreciation of life as it is before you in a moment.

Is it a glistening dewdrop?

Is it the face of a child or a smile?

Is it something precious that is without price, for it comes directly from the heart?

If you will, make a list of all those things that bring joy to you and affirm them. I will leave you to your deliberations as to how you will return to the point of joy, but I will suggest that gratitude in action is a most wondrous way to continually perceive the joy flame of life.

Beloved ones, moments after some seeming tragedy has come upon you, you can [by the joy flame] see through it to the other side and experience joy because God has shown you that this is something that you must pass through.

Joy, beloved, cannot be thinking too much of itself, for joy is something that we give. And as we give, it begets more within us. Joy is a flame that is opposed by the very worst side of everyone, for all that is not real about you, all that is less than that God-Reality, cringes at the point of dazzling joy that you keep in your house and in your heart.

Mending the Bridge For Crossing

Mending the Bridge for the Crossing

The Journey of the Soul

This is the great mystery of the journey of the soul to the center of the heart. And by and by, the soul which enters the alchemical union with Christ bears more and more of the light of Christ into the lower centers until all of that karma is transmuted, the dweller is bound and cast out, the sacred fire of the Kundalini is raised without danger because it will no longer contact that turbulent karma and record and actuality of misqualified substance that does cause a chemistry and often a violent reaction when that Kundalini is forced.

By and by, therefore you see, with the soul ascending and descending the spiral staircase, there is the illumination; and the lower chakras become as clear and purified as those above. And each individual therefore stands in his own mighty figure-eight flow, and the light of the causal body may descend. It may descend because the I AM Presence and the Christ Self, the Father and the Son, have come to take their abode in the temple of the loving and the obedient disciple.

Thus day by day and little by little, you experiment with this increment of fire. And as you make the journey again through the untransmuted layers, you guard the harmony, you guard the consciousness, you do not allow yourself to engage. None of your chakras, your feelings, emotions, or thoughts engage with the unreality that is being consumed. And therefore, my precious ones, you become the victor.

Once the human creation of thyself can see that there is nothing it can do to rouse you, upset you, engage you, cause you to believe the lie or the illusion, become burdened with the records of doubt, then it does give up. It will no longer manifest the ferocious face of the beast; but it sees the end come, passes through the death throes—and you are also vigilant.

And therefore by your call, Archangel Michael and the mighty archangels do bind that dweller as you stand fast and behold the salvation of your God in your very living temple and you become on earth an electrode of living fire like unto the Lord God above who dwells in the Holy of Holies in the heart of the I AM Presence. This is the goal of your walk with God.

Let not lesser considerations take the place of this path, this understanding, this vigil. For you see, just as quickly as you gain this Mother-awareness, this Mother presence, you will find yourself feeding the multitudes, tending the millions. For the Mother flame of cosmos will flow through you as those rivers of living water and many, many will gain that same inner strength by your presence in the earth.

These days are not far from you! Do not compare the path of the ascended masters and the Great White Brotherhood to any other path, East or West. Let no man take thy crown in this hour. Let no man rend the veil of the holiness and the oneness of thy life with the living Christ.

Understand, beloved hearts, that this is the new dispensation of Aquarius. It does not require centuries, as in the past, to come into this union. Nor should the process be taken lightly. Nor should you so easily forgive yourself your discords—as if it were nothing.

Mending the Bridge

The co-measurement and understanding of that which is violated when you lose your God-control and that which you lose, in fact, is necessary. Thus, not remorse or condemnation or self-pity, but a more enlightened and alert striving—not rote but a deep entering in and the willingness to go to those weak places of consciousness as though you were a workman repairing a bridge crossing the abyss in the Himalayas and your master had told you: “The Buddha is coming! He must cross over this bridge. You must secure it that it break not with his coming. There are weak places in the bridge. You must find them. You must test the bridge. You must mend each and every one so that when the Buddha crosses over, he will have safe and enjoyable passage.”

Thus the responsibility is upon you.

But the Buddha is your soul. With all of your ingenuity, you prepare the way of the soul’s passage and you realize, blessed hearts, that if you leave a weak spot in the bridge, a weak link in the chain, when the soul must pass the most severe testing and temptation and trial, it will not have the strength to endure and that particular place in the bridge will break—and therefore the soul will fall into the abyss.

This is why no more light or attainment or initiation may be given you until you mend the bridge for the crossing. For we dare not give you the light which would assure you advanced initiations, which initiations you would then not pass.

Thus the holdup, you see, comes to the point of your ingenuity, your wisdom, and your carefulness in remembering this which I am teaching you. It is so important for the journey of life—whether for the initiate who walks as the ministering servant, whether for the married couple, the family, the child. The marriage will not succeed, the sacred labor will be abandoned, the child will not realize his potential, the undertaking will fail if you have not first seen to it that the weak points are strengthened.

You already know where you are strong, for you lead by your right hand and your strengths. Therefore examine what is missing and become strong spherically, and let your strength be at each sign of the clock. 1

This advice is for the victory of the Church and the victory of the community. Now, each one of you is a plank in the bridge, a part of the rope. Will you be the weak link whereby the community itself breaks, or breaks down, and the Buddha cannot pass through lest he step upon that weak link?

Thus say to yourself, “I am as important as any other part of the bridge. When Buddha walks upon me, will I be able to sustain the harmony and the integrity of the bridge, or will I be the weak link?”

Becoming the Buddha: Wesak A Celebration

24 Apr

Wesak is the celebration of Buddha’s birth & enlightenment, & in some traditions also his death. As the most important figure in Buddhism his life is celebrated and revered. Gathering to chant and pray are an important part of a traditional Wesak celebration.

It is said that Wesak is that time at the Full Moon of May in which the Christ gathers the entire Spiritual Hierarchy together in meditation to invoke the forces of Shamballa. The Buddha, representing those forces, appears and blesses humanity.

The ceremony of Wesak is held in the actual Wesak Valley in the Himalayas at the time of the full moon of May (which is actually the full moon of Scorpio). A vast crowd assembles in the valley, in front of the great rock table at the end of the valley. Alice A. Bailey describes this event in The Unfinished Autobiography. It is said that the Christ and the Buddha conduct the ceremony of Wesak from a rock table at the end of the valley described by Bailey as “…an immense rock, rising out of the floor of the valley like a great table.”

The second of the three major spiritual planetary festivals is The Wesak Festival, The Buddha’s Blessing, and is celebrated in the eastern hemisphere at the Taurus full moon. (The first, in April, is the Festival of the Christ and the third, in June, is the Festival of Humanity.) Wesak is the festival of The Buddha, divine intermediary between the highest spiritual center, Shamballa, and the Hierarchy.

The Buddha is the expression of the Wisdom of God, the embodiment of light and the indicator of divine purpose.

Wesak – the Sun in Taurus Full Moon, is the most powerful Full Moon of the year. The Sun’s transit through Taurus exalts the Moon and Taurus is ruled by Venus, the spiritual ruler of Earth. Venus is identified with Mary, the World Mother. May, the month of Taurus, is the month of Mary. Venus appears in the west as the feathered serpent god Quetzalcoatl who brought enlightenment to the Mayans; in the east she is Maya, mother of the Buddha.

The lunar cycle is a wave of creation that comes to fruition when the Moon is full. Each Full Moon brings revelation and possibility for healing body, mind, and soul. The Moon is the Mother whence comes reflected Light of the spiritual Sun to nurture, support, protect, and bring to flower the seeds of creation.

The Full Moon is like a pitcher pouring out a healing elixir. The celestial dispensation continues for three days following the day of the Full Moon. Calm and balance, deep breathing, meditation, yoga, rhythmic music and dancing help for receiving the blessings of heaven.

Locally the Full Moon has strong effect in the hour following Sunset when the Moon is rising and at local Midnight when the Moon is directly overhead. This Sun in Taurus Full Moon is called Wesak (WE-sock). Mystics say that the Buddha returns now to help regenerate the Earth.

According to metaphysical tradition, the Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and left Earthly incarnation under the Full Moon of Taurus. And the Buddha returns at this time each year to bring new light to the world. Spiritual leaders gather in Wesak Valley, a mythic place high in the Himalayas. Here initiates led by the Christ arrange themselves into a great pentagram (the Venusian emblem of world soul) while the Buddha hovers over those gathered radiating light. This cosmic alignment occurs during the eight minutes centered on the moment of the Wesak full moon.

The annual cycle of the Spiritual Festivals offers opportunity for people of all faiths to cooperate. Together, the three full moon festivals of Aries, Taurus and Gemini form a united spiritual approach by humanity to divinity.

The day of the Festival is to be known as the “day of safeguarding” whilst the two succeeding days are called the “days of distribution.”

For two days prior to the full moon, we will hold the attitude of dedication and service and seek to assume that attitude of receptivity to that which our soul will impart which will make us of use to the Hierarchy. The Hierarchy works through groups of souls, and the potency of this group work is to be tested out. These groups in their turn contact and feed the waiting dedicated attentive personalities. On the day of the full moon, we attempt to hold ourselves steadily in the light. We will not formulate to ourselves what will happen nor will we look for results or for tangible effects.

On the two succeeding days, the focus of our attention will be steadily turned away from ourselves but also from the inner subjective planes to the outer world, and our efforts will be to pass on, or to pass through, that measure of spiritual energy that may have been contacted. Our work then in this particular and peculiar field of cooperation will then be ended.

This effort of the Hierarchy is a five days’ effort, preceded by a most intensive period of preparation. The work of getting ready for the opportunity starts for the Hierarchy exactly at the hour when “the sun began to move northward.” But they tire not as do human beings and it is not possible for the human aspirant to keep up so long a period of preparation, no matter how deep his devotion.

When the Great Lord was on Earth, He told His disciples that successful spiritual effort of a healing nature went not forth except by prayer and fasting. Will you ponder on these words? This is a group effort towards a vast group healing and by prayer (sanctified desire, illumined thought and intense aspirational longing) and by the discipline of the physical body for a short period and for a definite objective, the work can be done.

The Wesak Festival has been traditionally associated in eastern civilization with the Buddha, divine intermediary between the highest spiritual center on the planet, Shamballa, and the Hierarchy. The Buddha is the expression of the Wisdom of God, the embodiment of Light and the indicator of divine purpose, cooperating at this festival with his brother the Christ, who represents the Hierarchy. The Buddha embodies the Principle of Light, and because of this illumination humanity was able to recognize the Christ, embodiment of the still greater Principle of Love. Each year at the time of Wesak, two great streams of energy – one focused through the Buddha and the other through the Christ – are fused and blended, and it is the task of world servers to precipitate this combined energy into the waiting world.

In mutual service to humanity, the Buddha and the Christ bring about a linking that blends East and West, uniting the world’s major religions in a shared holy day in which religious distinctions disappear. In the beautiful water ceremony of communion is portrayed the symbol of the new age which is upon us, the Aquarian Age, the age of the Water Carrier.

formal_front_buddha

During the Wesak Festival the Buddha becomes the “absorbing Agent” of Will. He uses the magnetic power of Love-Wisdom to attract this force to Himself and hold it steady, prior to redirecting it. The Christ then – on behalf of the Hierarchy – becomes the “receiving Agent” of this potent energy and the groups of Masters Who work with the human and sub-human kingdoms (in response to His demand) become the “directing Agents” for the sevenfold expression of this force.

So at the time of the Wesak Festival, expansions of consciousness are made possible that are not possible at other times. Those of goodwill are stimulated spiritually to take initiation, in order to penetrate more deeply and consciously into the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. These reveal more about the wonder of our divinity, and about the Plan to which humanity is conforming.

As powerful spiritual beings, we create our own reality. It is essential that we as a race begin to govern ourselves solely from within, from our own personal connection with the Divine. It can take courage to follow your own moral heart but if we don’t, we run the risk of losing our souls for the sake of getting by. We allow dysfunction to surround us unchecked and to out-picture in our society like a bad dream. Just one heart, one mind standing clear and tall amidst chaos will cause chaos to order itself around it. We, as workers for spirit, must be that clear mind. We come together to reinforce one another’s choice to be free and to stand tall. As more and more of us learn to do that, society will change. The resulting groundswell of clarity and truth as everyday experiences will have to have an effect on ourselves, our societies and our governments all over the world.

Solutions to all of the world’s problems (which means all of yours as well) lie within you! Hidden in full view!

May I now make an inquiry? Of what importance is this full moon of May to you personally? Does it seem to you of sufficient importance to warrant your utmost effort? Do you really believe that on that day  May3, 2015, there can truly come a release of spiritual energy of sufficient potency to change world affairs, provided that humanity plays its part? Do you really believe, and can you stand practically to that belief, that the Buddha on that date, in cooperation with the Christ, and with the Hierarchy of Illumined Minds, plus the proffered aid of some of the Thrones, Principalities and Powers of Light, Who are the higher correspondence of the powers of darkness, stand waiting to carry out God’s Plans, when given the right and the permission of men? Your major job at this time is not to wrestle with the powers of evil and the forces of darkness, but to awaken an interest in and mobilize the forces of light in the world today. Resist not evil, but so organize and mobilize the good, and so strengthen the hands of the workers on the side of righteousness and love that evil will find less opportunity.

If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed in what I have told you, if you have staunch belief in the work of the spirit of God and in the divinity of humanity, then forget yourselves and consecrate your every effort, from the time you receive this communication, to the task of cooperation in the organized effort to change the current of world affairs by an increase in the spirit of love and goodwill in the world during the month of May.

Gautama Buddha: A Celebration of Wesak

Gautama Buddha – Cosmic Master of the Seventh Ray – Wesak

Cloud of Violet Flame from Gautama Buddha WesakCloud of Violet Flame from Gautama Buddha

The following is an excerpt from an ascended master dictation by The Great Divine Director, through the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet, published in the Pearls of Wisdom®.

For the Lord of the World of this planet is a Cosmic Master of the Seventh Ray and age and violet flame; and therefore it is fitting that he should embody that mantle and office of Lord of the World as this earth is passing, or not passing, initiations to enter that age.

Blessed hearts, you know not what you have in the person of Lord Gautama, for this Master alone stands between mankind and the debacle of her oncoming karma.

I submit to you in this hour of Wesak that you pledge your hearts to the Lord of the World to amplify and blend your causal bodies of violet flame with his own, that Saint Germain might have in you, multiplying your forces with Gautama, a champion and that a sphere of light, of violet flame, might grow between the causal body of Gautama and your own attainment here below, and that causal body should begin as a cloud the size of a man’s hand and should grow and grow and grow that the earth might be contained within this fiery cloud of violet flame.

Will you not take the ritual of the cloud given to you by Saint Germain in your Intermediate Studies in Alchemy and take the tape of this and offer the ritual of the cloud and call forth a cloud of violet flame from the causal bodies of every member of the Great White Brotherhood in heaven and on earth? This, beloved, this will give pause to the Lords of Karma and the Four and Twenty Elders and cause there to be a mitigation of those prophecies that have been released through our Messenger.

Violet Flame Mitigates Karma

And where there is not a full turning back of karma predicted there may be a mitigation, and if not for mankind, surely, I say, surely there will be for those Lightbearers who have read the signs of the times, who have seen what the future portends and have kept the flame. The Lord does reward every man and woman and child according to his word and his work, according to his honor, to his service, and to his love toward every part of life.

Blessed hearts, no matter what does happen to mankind or this planet, you, by your alignment with God and your offering of these violet flame decrees to save a world, will have stored in your causal body and in your chakras such a mighty momentum of violet flame that your victory in the Light shall be assured.

Thus, wherever we are in cosmos we live to serve the Light and the evolutions of which we are a part; and we live to offer that invocation and mantra to increase the rings of our causal body and our chakras, even as the trees in the forest add the ring each year.

So, beloved, this twofold reason for being does always result in that which you send forth returning to you in toto multiplied ten thousand times ten thousand. As you sow light you shall reap light. As you are in the Light (i.e., Christ consciousness) you shall find yourself in the Light of a golden age somewhere beyond time and space.

Golden Age of Aquarius

Let us hope that by your effort, that which is above, which is called the kingdom of heaven, which is indeed the golden age of Aquarius in etheric octaves, may be on earth as it is in heaven. This will come only if those on earth embody it.

And so you see, all predictions and prophecies of a golden age come down to and rest upon the free will of those who see and know and understand the exercise of the science of the spoken Word as an effective means to the realization of that golden age on earth.

If you choose to embody that age and you make those sacrifices whereby many are converted through the Holy Spirit by your example, you may see that age manifest of a glory and of an opportunity, of a science beyond all imagination, of the alchemy and of the development of the mind potential and the heart potential such as has not been seen in this world since prior golden ages that are beyond history’s memory in this hour.

This ascended master dictation by the Great Divine Director is published in its entirety in the Pearls of Wisdom, vol. 32 no. 31, July 30, 1989. The dictation was given in New York City and is entitled, “The Divine Plan for the Aquarian AgePlanet Earth Hangs in the Balance; A Dispensation for the Sponsorship of Twin Flames; Call Forth a Cloud of Violet Flame from Gautama Buddha.”

Gautama Buddha on January 1, 1956, became Lord of the World, holding at inner levels the office of the highest governing being in the spiritual hierarchy for a planet and its people; Lord Gautama Buddha, has served the earth and her evolutions through many embodiments, experiencing great illumination during the Lemurian epoch.

Born in northern India in 563 B.C. as Prince Siddartha, he was early convinced of the emptiness of worldly life, and he sought earnestly for a revelation of holy wisdom.

Relinquishing his earthly kingdom and severing all human ties, he lifted the cup of his attention until he became one with his own God Source. Thus wholly one with divine truth, he passed the initiations leading to the attainment of the Buddhic level of consciousness.

Returning to the human form—now transfigured—he was known among his people as the Enlightened One, which is the meaning of the word Buddha. Functioning in his physical body, he became the teacher of teachers expounding the Middle Way.

Gautama passed through the ritual of the ascension in the month of May at the close of that embodiment. He remained in the planes of nirvana until the mid-twentieth century when he addressed and continues to address (from ascended state) the mankind of earth through his readied instruments.

Each year in May on a plateau on the northern slope of the Himalayas, the Wesak festival is held to commemorate Lord Gautama’s birth, his attainment of Buddhahood and his ascension in the light.

At that time, Gautama Buddha addresses disciples on several planes and the radiation of the Buddha is anchored in the world of form through his Electronic Presence.  All of life receives his blessing, including angels, elementals, and souls walking the path of individual Christhood.

Lords of the Seven Rays: Saint Germain

7 Nov

“Beloved hearts, how do we begin?  How do we maintain that God-Control that allows for the rhythm of God to restore the balance before the human reaction–out of fear or anger or that teetering/tottering off balance? Beloved hearts, the components are there in the dictations, the decree book, Keepers of the Flame lessons.  But , as it always is, the more vast the compendium of knowledge, the greater the requirement of the teacher to organize.  Thus, understand: sometimes when you suddenly feel a disturbance–you are taken aback, you have a shock or a sudden reaction to the actions of injustice of another–one of the reasons you momentarily lose your balance is because the normal flow of the aura has been distributed, as though you would suddenly agitate the waters.”

“Now, your aura is your sanctuary, and it is the sanctity of your God flame.  Thus, before answering the demands of the carnal mind–the questioning, the praying for favors, or whatever–reestablish yourself.  Speak quietly, softly, and slowly.  For in this way you will not engage into yourself the anger, the impetuosity, the upsetness of anyone around you. You speak from the seat f the heart, the point of the Buddha.  You speak loud enough, in the sense of being strong and firm, so that the breath and the voice are not sinking like a shrinking violet of fear.  You speak strong enough and firm enough and peaceful enough and powerful enough so that God may use your voice to still your own aura and the agitation or the fear or the excitement of another.”

“Be the calm presence in a vortex of calamity and activity, beloved hearts, and learn the way of power, the immense power of peace itself.  Realize that in a situation of upsetness it is necessary to take some deep breaths.  For in the presence of anxiety, the heart begins to palpitate and people begin to breathe in a short-breath manner, thus adding to the absence of control.  You take a deep breath, you release it, you go to the heart, and you give no instantaneous answers, yes or no–no instantaneous reactions or solutions–but quietly turn within.”

You see, beloved ones, the test are flying full and sure.  We want you to experience the sense of mastery, of dominion, the enormous pleasure of that driving force of irritation, and conquered and risen above every foible of the senses directed against your heart.  They would steal your life.  They would take the flow of love between us.  They would break the bond by any form of anger or outrage.  And they will steal from you your sense of worthiness, your sense of the mantle of being a disciple of Sanat Kumara.  When they can destroy your dignity and you begin to feel like a moth, then you will also behave like one.  And till you regain your self-identity, I must pause and wait again, wondering just how long you will flit around the bulb of these sepent ones who have beguiled you into their auras momentarily.”

Thus, beloved hearts, the soft answer turneth away wrath.  If someone is speaking to you in a loud and high-pitched manner, adjust the tone and answer with the God-command.  Answer with helpfulness.  Try to solve the problem.  Try to show the best side of things.  Provide emergency care when needed.  Keep your wits about you.  And don’t enter the vortex of another;s anxiety, else you will become confused.  Remember that anything that seeks to taunt you from the seat of the Buddha in the secret chamber of the heart must be noted as the enemy–not the person necessarily, for it is often a loved one, but the force attempting to use that one.  Thus it is your challenge to liberate that one as well as yourself from the human nonsense of the moment.   May you pass every test!”

I am a part of all that I have met

-Alfred, Lord Tennyson

The seventh energy center, the crown chakra, is where we receive and experience wisdom and enlightenment.  The opening of this center in the full radiance of its golden-yellow light has been depicted as the halo of saints.  It has also been portrayed as the vibrant corona around the Buddhas and the dome-shaped or flame-like protuberance on the top of their heads.  The wisdom of the saints and the Buddhas is not knowledge of the things of the world.  It is knowledge of the realty that lies beyond the physical world–the inner reality that enlivens the outer form.  The wisdom of the crown chakra tell us that more important than our intellectual prowess is our knowledge of this inner reality.

When Gautama Buddha was asked, “Who are you?” he answered, “I am awake.”  To be enlightened means that we are awake to our inner potential.  When we are awake, we understand the limitations of our lesser self and the limitless resources of our greater Self.  Through our crown chakra, we can connect with a higher source of knowledge–our own higher mind, one with the mind of God.  We can tap into our own creative genius.  For a genius, as Napoleon Hill observed, is simply one “who has discovered how to increase the intensity of thought to the point where he can freely communicate with sources of knowledge not available through the ordinary rate of thought.”

The wisdom of the crown, inextricably linked with compassion, impels us to share what we have received with those who need it most.   After Gautama Buddha meditated under the Bo tree and attained enlightenment, he entered nirvana for forty-nine days.  Then before he could impart to others the wisdom he had gleaned, the Temptress Mara, tried to convince Gautama to return to nirvana.  There is no use sharing his experience, said Mara, because no one would understand it.  But Gautama did not turn back.  he simply responded, “Some will understand.”  In one way or another, we are all called to share the enlightenment we have received along life’s path.  The wisdom we glean from our higher intelligence, from the universities of the world or even from the school of hard knocks is a gift.  Out of compassion for others we are compelled to share that gift–whether we us it to guide the children in our family or neighborhood, develop a computer program that will help others lean new skills, blog or heal the sick.

I Strive To Reach Beyond The Limitations Of The Human Intellect

One of the secrets of the crown chakra is that this leap in consciousness does not require a doctorate.  Having a well-developed human intellect does not necessarily qualify us to access the divine intelligence.  In fact, Lao Tzu said, Without going anyway, you can know the whole world.  Without even opening your window, you can know the ways of Heaven.  you see:  the further away you go, the less you know.”

The purpose of learning

is to grasp the divine.

-Abraham Abulafia

By educating ourselves, we can prepare ourselves to receive the impulses of our higher mind and the mind of God in our chosen profession.  But the intellect is not the mind of God.  As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “A man should learn to detect and watch that gleam of light which flashes across his mind from within, more, than the lustre of the firmament of bards and sages.”  Tapping into our own higher intelligence can give us answers we can’t find anywhere else.  When you wake up in the middle of the night looking for the answer to a problem, don’t forget that you have unlimited access to all the knowledge and creativity that you need–if you are prepared to receive it.

I Take Time To Slow Down, Still My Mind And Spend Time In Solitude

One way we can balance our crown chakra and prepare to receive the impulses of the divine intelligence is to slow down and still the outer mind.  Are you able to quiet your mind?  Are you easily distracted?  Do you occupy your mind with trivialities or fantasies?  To paraphrase the Taoist sage Chuang Tzu, “If you cannot keep your mind still, that is called galloping even while sitting.”  Does your mind gallop even while you’re sitting?  It’s not an uncommon problem. “It is not possible to observe any discipline without guarding the quivering mind,” says poet-monk Shantideva.  “If the sluggish mind is fixed on something else, he says, then all our spiritual practices, even if we engage in them for a long time are useless.”  Again, that’s because where our attention goes, there goes our energy.

Our minds and bodies are interconnected.  So in order to still the mind, we need to care for our body.  It’s easier to concentrate and focus when we get enough sleep and exercise and when we take in foods and substances that strengthen us rather than those that weigh us down (like too much oil), or make us jittery (like too much salt or coffee).

Another way to bring balance to our crown chakra is to make time for meditation and communion with God.  Take time to study your favorite scriptures or inspirational works.  Take time to receive the revelations that God wants to give you personally.  Spend time alone.  Sometimes we fill up our day with so many activities that we forget to listen for the inner voice of wisdom.  When you look over your schedule for the week, pencil in some priority time for yourself before your hours get filled up.

Sometimes when we get depressed or out of sorts, its because we aren’t spending enough time away from the madding crowd.  When the soul is not allowed to follow her nature inclination towards union with God, the yearning for that union becomes a loneliness that even the greatest human relationship cannot fill.

I Embrace The Unity Underlying The Diversity

At the level of the crown chakra, the thousand-petaled lotus, we are initiated in the highest wisdom and highest understanding–the knowledge that there are not two, but one. There are not two–you and I.  There are not two–you and God.  There is only one:  There is only God.  There is only Spirit.  There is only Self, with a capital S.  The rest is illusion.  This is the mystery that that the mystics and adepts have unlocked.  We can know intellectually, but until we understand it will all of our heart and soul and mind, we are still living in a sense of duality–two, not one.  As long as we operate from a perspective of duality, we have not yet integrated  with the highest energies of the crown chakra.

Instead of being so bound

up with everyone, be everyone.

-Rumi

When we understand that there are not two but just one, then God will share all of himself with us–because we have shared all of ourselves with God.  One of the oldest renditions of this mystic theme can be found in the Upanishads, the ancient Hindu scripture.   In a conversation between the young man Nachiketas and Death, Death slowly unveils the secret of immortality.  He says:  “Some have never heard of Self, some have heard but cannot find him…Logic brings no man to the Self…That boundless Power, source of every power, manifesting itself as life, entering every heart, living there among the elements, that is Self…Tell the mind that there is but One.” Death goes on to explain that Nachiketas he should not look for this “Self” outside of himself.  This indwelling Spirit, says Death, is “that Person no bigger than a thumb, burning like a flame without smoke, maker of past and future.”  This inmost Self, he reveals, is God–who “lives in the heart.”

When we begin to identify less with the outer man, the ego, and more with that Person in the heart–the one who burns “like flame without smoke”–then, and only then, are we on our way to the full flowering of our crown chakra.  As the energies of our crown chakra become more accelerated and balanced, we are able to sustain an abiding sense of oneness with Spirit while we walk the earth.  And we are able to recognize that Spirit within everyone.

When the energies of the crown are unbalanced, we aren’t able to sustain an awareness of the indwelling Spirit that is our essence. or, at the other extreme, we may let our spiritual experiences “go to our head” as we convince ourselves that we are better than others.  The initiation of the crown demands that we let go of our pride our ego, our aloofness and find a way to make our spirituality practical and all-embracing.  The rite of passage that we face at the level of the crown chakra also demands that we appreciate others and learn from everyone.

(The Yogi) see himself in the heart

of all beings and he sees all beings in his heart.

—The Bhagavad Gita

As we move forward into the future, we can learn much from a giant of the past–Akbar the Great, the sixteenth-century Mogul emperor.  Akbar was a great military genius and a wise ruler, the greatest ruler of his time.  But above all, his burning desire was to reconcile the diversity of religious creeds that he saw before him–Christian, Muslin, Hindu, Zoroastrian and Jewish.  He was the first monarch in the medieval age to recognize that truth existed in all religions.  How many people of the world even today, acknowledge that?  Akbar saw the seed of truth in all religions.  As a result, he actually created his own monotheistic, Unitarian religion, called Divine Faith.  His goal was to bring about unity amid diversity.  As you study the mystical paths of the world’s religions, you can see that these paths are much more alike than they are different.  That’s the way it is with so many things in life.  and we can enjoy the diversity–and even benefit from it–while seeking the underlying unity.

Affirmations For Activating The Crown Chakra

Through our crown chakra, we receive the creative thoughts of God and our Higher Self.  The following affirmations can help clear the physical and spiritual faculties of the mind.  They can help you strengthen your intuitive faculties and develop a keener perception of spiritual dimensions.  As you give these affirmations, see the violet flame clearing your mind of all mental blocks, negative images and limiting concepts about yourself or others.  See your mind becoming filled with the brilliant golden light of the crown chakra.

Life Lesson:  Summon Inner Power to Create Constructive Change

Better than a thousand useless

words is one single word that gives peace.

-The Dhammapada

The throat chakra is our power center.  At this level, we have ability to coalesce through the spoken word what is in our minds and on our hearts.  The sages of East and West tell us that the spoken word holds the key to creating change.  Genesis, for instance, recounts that the process of creation began when “God said, ‘Let there be light.’ ”  Through the throat chakra, we can become co-creators with God.  The sages of East and West also say mastery of the throat chakra is central to our spiritual growth.  That mastery involves not only what we say but how we say it–and what we choose not to say.

I PRACTICE RIGHT SPEECH

Every single time we open our mouths, we are making a choice:  to help or to harm.  Jesus explained that our words are of ultimate import when he said,  “By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (judged).”  That’s because our words come from our power center  and therefore have incredible impact.  When we think back to the moments in our life that were the most traumatic and the most meaningful, they often involved what someone said to us or about us.

Right speech is a major precept of Buddhism.  It is one of the keystones of Gautama Buddha’s Eightfold Path that leads to liberation.  In essence, right speech means that we guard the flow of energy through our throat chakra and realize the impact it has on others.  It means we look at our ability to speak as a gift that God has given to us to convey compassion, kindness and teaching.  Gautama taught that the one who espouses right speech does not bring division through gossip but uses his speech to create harmony and unity.  “What he has heard here he does not repeat there, so as to cause dissension,” the Buddha said.  Instead, such a one “delights in concord” and “brings together those that are at variance.”  He or she ‘has given up harsh language…He speaks words that are free from rudeness, soothing to the ear, loving, going to the heart, courteous,…elevating many.”

Theosophist C. W, Leadbeater says that at energetic levels our words, even in casual speech, are much more potent than we realize. “Many people think that in daily life it is not necessary to take the trouble to speak clearly,” he writes.  “It matters much more than they think, because we are all the time building our own surroundings, and these react upon us.”

Power is not revealed by striking

hard or often, but striking true.

-Balzac

Right speech is supportive speech, kind speech, respectful speech.  Someone who understood this very well was America’s first President.  In the nineteenth century, a school notebook of George Washington’s was discovered at Mount Vernon, Washington’s home.   It seems that in 1745, the fourteen-year-old George had written in this notebook more than one hundred times “Rules of Civility in Conversation Amongst Men,”  which he had copied from a word that dated back to 1664 or earlier.  These “rules of civility” are a delightful guideline for right speech.  Here are a few of them:

Be no flatterer, neither play with anyone that delights not to be played with.

Let your discourse with men of business be short and comprehensive.

Decide no man’s misfortunes, through there seem to be some cause.

Think before you speak.

I RECOGNIZE THE VALUE OF SILENCE

One of the subtlest forms of imbalance in the throat chakra is idle chatter.  “Those who have virtue have something to say, but those who have something to say do not necessarily have virtue,” observed Confucius.  Gautama taught that the person who has mastered right speech “bears in mind the injunction which says:  “In meeting one another, Brothers, there are two things that ought to be adhered to:  either conversation about Truth or holy silence.”  Idle chatter or argumentation is an obstacle to our self-mastery because it drains our energy.  It fritters away the vitality of our power center.  If we speak only when we need to speak, we preserve our vitality.  The Tao Te Ching bluntly describes the “strong silent type” who has mastered that prescription:  “Those who know do not talk.  Those who talk do not know…Keep your mouth shut guard the senses, and life is ever full.  Open our mouth, always be busy, and life is beyond hope.”

I have often regretted

my speech never my silence.

-Anonymous

How powerful and authentic our words can be when they have first been steeped in the silence of our spirit.

I STAND UP FOR AND SPEAK THE TRUTH

Gautama Buddha taught that a person  who embraces right speech “speaks the truth, he is devoted to truth, he adheres to the truth, he is worthy of confidence.”  Speaking the truth involves speaking the facts without distortion.  It means not exaggeration and not jumping to conclusions.  It means overcoming passivity to stand up for what we know is right, regardless of what others think.  “You do not need to justify asking questions,” historian Jacob Neusner once said.  “But if you think you have found answers, you do not have the right to remain silent.”

Confucius once said that by being honest, we raise up an entire nation.  “Promote the honest, placing them over the crooked,”  he said, “and you can cause the crooked to straighten out…If leaders are trustworthy, people will not dare to be dishonest…It is said that if good people work for a country for a hundred years, it is possible to overcome violence and eliminate killing.   This saying is indeed true.”

I EXERCISE THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD FOR TRANSFORMATION

Just as there is a time to speak and a time to remain silent, there is a time to meditate and a time to take the fruit of our meditation and send it forth in the science of the spoken word.  The creative power of sound is at the heart of the world’s spiritual traditions East and West, whether as the Jewish Shema and Amidah, the Christian Our Father, the Muslim Shahadah, the Hindi Gayatri or the Buddhist Om Mani Padme Hum.  Hindu yogis have used mantras for protection and wisdom, to enhance their concentration and meditation, and to help them achieve enlightenment and oneness with God.  In Jewish mystical tradition, Kabbalist taught that by calling and meditating on the names of God, we could tap into an infinite source of power to restore peace and harmony to this world.  In Catholic tradition, the rosary and other prayers are repeated to invoke divine intercession.

Both scientist and sages tell us that the spoken word can literally create change and transformation.  For instance, Dr. Herbert Benson, president and founder of the Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard Medical School, found that those who repeated Sanskrit mantras for as little as ten minutes a day experienced physiological changes–reduced heart rate, lower stress levels and slower metabolism.  Subsequent studies showed that repeating mantras can benefit the immune system, relieve insomnia, reduce visits to the doctor and even increase self-esteem.

In Terms of our chakra initiations, prayer and affirmations can also provide a boost to our personal growth because they can help us undo the false mental programming that may be lodged in our subconscious.  Our subconscious is like a recording machine.  It records every impression we have absorbed throughout our life and our past lives–the good and the bad.  And, to our detriment, that includes the negatives we have heard and believed about ourselves.

Every time you think something negative about yourself, every time someone criticizes or intimidates you, your subconscious records the event.  Sometimes we don’t realize how much we’ve been influenced by another’s thoughts or words, especially a parent, sibling or authority figure.  These negatives are booby traps that can undermine our success.  All too often we limit ourselves–our jobs, our income, our educational level, our goals in life–by what we believe about ourselves.

The subconscious not only records negative impressions but, like a tape player on automatic replay, it plays back recordings of the past.  That’s why positive affirmations have been found to be so helpful.  When used properly, they can help us align our subconscious as we affirm the innate beauty and positive potential of our soul,

Handle them carefully, for words

have more power than atom bombs.

-Pearl Strachan Hurd

Stephen Covey in his best-selling Seven Habits of Highly effective People says that affirmations and visualizations can be extremely helpful.  Affirmations, especially those using “I AM,” are a potent form of spoken prayer,  I AM affirmations use the name of God “I AM” to access spiritual power.  “I AM’ comes from “I AM THAT I AM,”  the name of God revealed to Moses when he said, “This is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.”  The Jerusalem Bible translated this passage as “This is my name for all times; by this name I shall be invoked for all generations to come.”

What does “I AM THAT I AM” mean?  It means simply but profoundly “as above, so below.”  God is affirming, “I am here below that which I AM above.”  When you say, ” I AM THAT I AM,” you are affirming that God is where you are.  In effect, you are saying:  ” As God is in heaven, so God is on earth within me.   Right where I stand God is.  I am that “I AM.”  In an I AM affirmation, you are summoning the inner power of your throat chakras and God’s power within you to bring about constructive change.  You can create your own short, powerful I AM affirmations, tailored to your own needs, such as “I AM forgiveness acting here.”  “I AM the light of the heart,” or I AM the power of peace.”  I AM affirmations are generally given with determination and power.

Every time we say “I AM______,” we are really saying, “God in me is_______.”  And whatever we affirm following the words “I AM” will become a reality in our world–whether we say ” I am sick,” “I am tired,:  I am having a great day’ or I am healthy.”  This is because the state of our body is influenced by what we think and by what we say.  The light of God flowing through us will obey our direction.  Simply put, spoken words command energy.  The creation of our powerful throat chakra are self-fulfilling prophecies.

When you come to the place where you realize that the tremendous energy of God is flowing through you every moment, you begin to have a sense of reverence and awe.  You say to yourself, “Here is God’s energy.  What will I do with it today?  Will I use God’s energy to reinforce the negative side of life?  Or will I use it to affirm something beautiful, something real, something that matters to my spiritual progress and that benefits others?’

The Capacity to Love

12 Jul

Alchemy of the heart book

When you get right down to it, there is nothing more important than increasing our capacity to love.  A disciple once asked Gautama Buddha, “Would it be true to say a part of our training is for the development of love and compassion?”  The Buddha replied, “No, it would not be true to say this.  It would be true to say that the whole of our training is for the development of love and compassion.”  The apostle John said essentially the same thing in his beautiful exposition on love:  “This is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another…He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”  If God is love and we were made in the image and likeness of God, as both Genesis and scriptures of the East tell us, then at our very core we too are love.  God created the universe so that we–and he–could experience more of the wonders of that love.

That is why most, if not all, of the critical issues in our life revolve around the innate need to give love and to receive love.  When we lament the lack of appreciation or respect or even self-esteem in our life, what we are really yearning for is love.  When we feel compelled to take those tortuous twists and turns through the labyrinth of life, painful as they may be, its because we’re trying to recapture the experience of divine love that is native to our soul.

The labyrinth takes us over the high peaks and into the deep chasms of our own inner terrain.  The landscape has been shaped by our karma–the consequences of the choices we have made in the past to love or not to love.  Each time time we come to a Y in the road, we again come face-to-face with the choice–to love or not to love, to open our heart and share our gifts or to shut down and pretend no one is home.  Since the journey is not always easy, at times we take the safer, lower road so we can catch our breath.  And sometimes we never make it back to the high road.  It’s understandable.  Maybe we were deeply hurt in this life or a past life and we don’t want to open our hearts and be rejected again.  Maybe we’re angry with others or even with God for the loss of a loved one.  Or maybe we feel guilty about our own shortcomings and have convinced ourselves that we don’t deserve to be loved.

In some cases, we unconsciously wall ourselves off.   We retreat into the castle of our heart and position layers upon layers of defenses around it so that no one will get too close to us and we won’t get to close to anyone else.  But these defenses keep us insulated from the very thing we crave–an intimate experience of giving and receiving love.  That’s when the universe conspires to wkae us up and get us back on the high road.  Mark L. Prophet, once said, “All experiences on earth are to teach us the meaning of love.  Everything that takes place for the education of the soul…is to teach it the meaning of love.  Because love is the power that shakes the universe and sounds one pure tone that gives to every man the freedom to embrace his own divine presence, his own divine plane.”

If we can embrace this truth–that all our experiences are designed to teach us how to give and receive more love–then suddenly the circumstance of our life make sense.  We are awakened to the need for a higher walk with love.  And the journey into those deep chasms and over those high peaks become a sacred trek.

How can I open my heart and freely share my love with others?  How can I empower my heart so I can fulfill my reason for being and soothe those who are in pain?   How can I heal my own heart from the pain of the past and expand my capacity to love?  How can I give to others and still find time to nurture myself?  How can I enter my heart to fan the inner fires of love.  How can I become a living transformer of love?

Your Real Inner Self

10 Jul

So another video to discuss our inner beings which we have been speaking about in earlier blogs.  After this we will move on to more information about the violet flame which can help us transmute our personal and planetary karma.
