Sacred Geometry

27 Sep

Sacred Geometry graphic by Craig Nicholson.

People have understood the spiritual significance of geometry for ages, from the ancient Egyptians to the Vedas in early India. These were studied by Pythagoras, who helped immensely in putting sacred geometry “on the map” i.e. making it more generally known. Born around 580 BC in Samos, this amazing Greek philosopher, mathematician, and spiritual leader formulated principles that influenced the thought of Plato and Aristotle and contributed to the development of mathematics and Western rational philosophy. He founded the Pythagorean brotherhood in Cortona, a mystical school developed as the archetype of a golden-age educational community.

They uncovered many of nature’s secrets, and held that at its deepest level, reality is mathematical in nature. (Pythagoras once declared: “All is number.” This theme has been repeated many times since, including by Bruce L. Cathie in his many books on harmonics, like The Bridge to Infinity.) They studied the mathematical laws behind the rhythm and harmony of music. They also pondered the intangible, not only by the logic of the mind but by the intuitive faculties of the heart. Pythagoras believed in life after death and reincarnation, and taught that the soul can transcend the cycles of rebirth and rise to union with the divine. Their community followed an ethical and moral code, and strove to put their spiritual knowledge into practical everyday use.

John Strohmeier and Peter Westbrook say the following on page 66 of their book Divine Harmony: The Life and Teachings of Pythagoras (Berkley Hills Books, 1999): “For Pythagoras, mathematics was a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds. He pursued the study of mathematics not only as a way of understanding and manipulating nature, but also as a means of turning the mind away from the physical world, which he held to be transitory and unreal, and leading it to the contemplation of eternal and truly existing things that never vary. He taught his students that by focusing on the elements of mathematics, they could calm and purify the mind, and ultimately, through disciplined effort, experience true happiness.”

Unfortunately for Pythagoras (and for all of us since) there was much jealosy directed towards him and his community, plus resistance to his enlightened ideas. He and many of his followers were eventually killed, and his teachings largely destroyed. So much of what we know about him is from third-hand accounts, some of it being aimed at discrediting him. But his legacy and genius live on, and many after him have been inspired to study and elaborate on this wonderful subject.

Geometry and creation.

The role of geometry in the process of creation is covered well by Robert Lawlor, in his fascinating book Sacred Geometry: Philosophy and Practice (Thames and Hudson, London, 1982). In it he says the following: “The perspective of volume offers yet another metaphor for the original and ever-continuing creative act of the materialization of Spirit and the creation of form. The very ancient creation myth coming from Heliopolis in Egypt gives an example of this mode of envisioning. Nun, the Cosmic Ocean, represents pure, undifferentiated spirit-space, without limit or form. It is prior to any extensive, any specificity, any god. It is pure potentiality. By the seed or will of the Creator, who is implicit within this Nun, the undifferentiated space is impelled to contract or coagulate itself into volume. Thus Atum, the creator, first creates himself or distinguishes himself from the undefinable Nun by volumizing, in order that creation might begin.”

  The Five Platonic Solids.

“What form, then, might this first volume have? What indeed are the most essential volumetric forms? There are five volumes which are thought to be the most essential because they are the only volumes which have all edges and all interior angles equal. They are the tetrahedron, octahedron, cube, dodecahedron and the icosahedron, and are the expressions in volume of the triangle, the square and the Pentagon: 3, 4, 5. All other regular volumes are only truncations of these five. These five solids are given the name ‘Platonic’ because it is assumed that Plato has these forms in mind in the Timaeus, the dialogue in which he outlines a cosmology through the metaphor of planar and solid geometry.”

In this dialogue, which is one of the most thoroughly ‘Pythagorean’ of Platos works, he establishes that the five elements of the world are earth, air, fire, water and aether (prana). Lawlor continues: “Plato’s fabricator of the universe created order from the primordial chaos of these elements by means of the essential forms and numbers. The ordering according to number and form on a higher plane resulted in the intended disposition of the five elements in the physical universe. The essential forms and numbers then act as the interface between the higher and lower realms. They have in themselves, and through their analogues with the elements, the power to shape the material world.

“As Gordon Plummer notes in his book The Mathematics of the Cosmic Mind, the Hindu tradition associates the icosahedron with the Purusha. Purusha is the seed image of Brahma, the supreme creator himself, and as such this image is the map or plan of the universe. The Purusha is analogous to the Cosmic Man, the Anthropocosm of the western esoteric tradition. The icosahedron is the obvious choice for this first form, since all the other volumes arise naturally out of it.”

  • Icosahedron:
The Hindu tradition associates the icosahedron with Purusha, the seed image of Brahma, the supreme creator himself.

  • Dodecahedron:
The icosahedron generates the dodecahedron, representing Prakriti, the feminine power of creation of the matter (mother) universe. The star born within it’s pentagon (below) produces the Golden Ratio, the energy of resurrection and symbol of the Christ.

The star born within the pentagon:

Patterns created from the moving 3-D Icosahedron lattice above:

The Golden Ratio.

The golden ratio is the mathematical proportion 1:1.6180339…ad infinitum. It’s mathematical name is phi, from the Greek alphabet. It is also known as the Divine Proportion, the Golden Section and the Golden Mean. It is found abundantly in nature and in the works of man. Find it in the pine cone, the daisy, the seashell, the sunflower, the great pyramid and the Parthenon. Or way out in the macrocosm in the spiral nebulae as described above. It is so integrated into life that many philosophers, artists, mathematicians, and scientists have see it as an essential aspect of beauty and perhaps of life itself. The Egyptians believed it was in the creative process and the fire of life. Plato considered it key in the understanding of the cosmos.

The golden ratio is found by dividing a line (AC) at a particular point to give two unequal sections, where the smaller one (AB) is proportionate to the larger one (BC) as the larger one (BC) is to the entire line (AC). The ratio is expressed as AB/BC = BC/AC. There is only one such point (B) on any line. It is easy to produce this ratio geometrically. One of many ways is the five-pointed star, as drawn within a pentagon above. Every outside line on the pentagon is in a phi ratio to any line of the star. Also, every line on the star has 3 segments. One side segment is in a ratio of 1:1.618 to the rest of that line. This ratio is what was used in the architecture of the great pyramids of Egypt, and results in the focusing of universal energy (a.k.a. prana) at a particular point, which helps in rejuvenation of life (or the preservation of dead bodies). This resurrection energy and ratio is the mark of the Christ, the victor over death and rejuvenating principle in nature.

Another aspect of the golden ratio is the Fibonacci Series. It is a series of numbers discovered by Leonardo Fibonacci. Each number in the series is the sum of the two before it: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, … The amazing thing is that the ratio of each successive pair of numbers is approximately 1.618 (phi). The higher the numbers, the more accurate they get. 8 divided by 5 is 1.60, but 89 by 55 is 1.61818… Once again, this series is found abundantly in nature, like the way that plant stems branch out.

Phi and the Great Pyramid.

In the diagram above, the big triangle is the same proportion and angle of the Great Pyramid, with its base angles at 51 degrees 51 minutes. If you bisect this triangle and assign a value of 1 to each base, then the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) equals phi (1.618..) and the perpendicular side equals the square root of phi. And that’s not all. A circle is drawn with it’s centre and diameter the same as the base of the large triangle. This represents the circumference of the earth. A square is then drawn to touch the outside of the earth circle. A second circle is then drawn around the first one, with its circumference equal to the perimeter of the square. (The squaring of the circle.) This new circle will actually pass exactly through the apex of the pyramid. And now the “wow” part: A circle drawn with its centre at the apex of the pyramid and its radius just long enough to touch the earth circle, will have the circumference of the moon! Neat, huh! And the small triangle formed by the moon and the earth square will be a perfect 345 triangle (related to the Pythagorean Theorem). Using the 345 triangle is also the easiest way to draw a squared circle.

Visualizing crystal structures for higher consciousness.

If you really want to get into the spirituality and personal growth aspect of sacred geometry, it is recommended to meditate on the geometric structure of crystals. David Tame, in his fascinating book The Secret Power of Music, (Destiny Books, 1984) says the following: “On the subject of crystals, modern esotericists have often recommended crystals, pictures of crystals, and models of the molecular structure of crystals as a subject for meditation. Contemplation upon their geometry is said to provide a route by which the consciousness of man can attune itself to the various qualities of the Consciousness of the Supreme.”

Here is a related and rather challenging exercise. It is a message from the Ascended Lady Master Leto through the messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet, April 15, 1976, found on an audio tape (#B7629). “You have been told …. to meditate upon the crystal and its structure. Now I ask you … to select images of crystals and then to diagram the molecular structure of crystals and to begin to memorize these structures and to endow them with flame, and to realize that your altar is a place of change …. And therefore consider that the crystal, especially of rare gems and their molecular structure – and I meditate now with you upon the structure of the emerald – is a means of contacting the plane of Spirit. For these emanations of the mind of God manifest in matter are parallel to the energies manifest in Spirit. They are time-space coordinates of the coalescing of energy in infinity.

“If you can therefore meditate upon, and endow your meditation with the flaming fire, this is what will take place: You will trace from effect to cause, to first cause, the very components of creation. And if you will study the treatise on alchemy by beloved Saint Germain, you will find that your visualizations will bring into manifestation elements of the Christ consciousness, abundance, the ability to expand a mandala for the community of the Holy Spirit.”

It is not that easy to find the molecular structure of crystals. To help you on your way, here is a link to an excellent website by the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in France on The atomic structure of materials. This site allows you to obtain a 3D VRML model of structures by clicking on flagged links. If you do not have a 3D viewer on your computer, click the Help link at the top of their page. Once you have one, click on the “Gems and Minerals” link. Clicking on flagged links will allow you to navigate WITHIN and around these 3 dimensional crystal structures. Very cool! PS: If you have any ideas on how to “endow these structures with Flame”, please share them

Cymatics and Creation by Sound.

Now we come to one of nature’s greatest mysteries, the creation of matter by sound. “And God SAID, let there be light.” “In the beginning was the WORD, … and the Word was God.” Jesus and his followers obviously studied the ancient Hindu Vedas, written long before his time. They state: “In the beginning was Brahman with whom was the Word. And the Word was Brahman.” The sacred texts of India teach that sound holds the key to the mysteries of the universe, to the creation and constant changing of our world. They put much emphasis on mantras, spoken prayers and sacred music. We in the West, constantly being bombarded by discordant sounds and music, are largely unaware of its tremendous power.

The book Cymatics: A Study of Wave Phenomena & Vibration by Hans Jenny sums up the phenomena of the effect that sound has on matter. He developed techniques to show that every frequency and musical note has a particular geometric pattern that it forms, like this colour image on the book’s cover. Cymatics book cover He built on the work of Chladni, who created sand patterns on a metal disc through sound. You can find more on Cymatics at this AlphaOmega website. More insight into this subject is given by David Tame in his fascinating book The Secret Power of Music mentioned above. In his chapter The Physics of the Om, he says: “Complex and meaningful patterns are even more apparent in Jenny’s sound-affected substances when viewed at the microscopic level. Then are revealed beautiful and mathematically-precise mandala-structures looking like groupings of microscopically-viewed snowflakes. The stress-interactions created in substances by their exposure to sound frequencies always result in formations replete with meaningful numerolical, proportional and symmetrical qualities.”

He goes on to discuss the works of several researchers who prove that the whole-number ratios of musical harmonics correspond to an underlying numerical and geometric framework existing in nature and matter. This sheds light on Goethe’s statement “Geometry is frozen music.” The book also covers research on the effects of sound and music on the human body and psyche. In general, the findings show that classical type music promotes physical and mental health, whereas rock music has the opposite effect. However, this subject is beyond the scope of this website, but well covered in The Secret Power of Music book. A more spiritual study of sound, mantra and prayer is covered in The Science of the Spoken Word and The Creative Power of Sound (pocket book) by Elizabeth Clare Prophet (Summit University Press).

Treasure Mapping: Practical Spiritual Tools for Abundance

22 Sep

What is a Treasure Map?

Treasure maps can take any form that appeals to you. It is your own individual letter to God A treasure map is a prayer in pictures. You can use it to catch your favorite dreams, shape them into tangible goals and launch them into reality. Put another way, a treasure map is a blueprint of the spiritual and material abundance you want to create in your life. Like all good maps, it provides direction and helps you stay focused on your destination.

So don’t limit your imagination, for it is the Universal Source of abundance upon which you will be drawing to fulfill your needs. God is not limited—only our human sense of limitation hinders us.

We need to clear our mind of the thought that it may be nonsense to just paste together a pretty picture. Far from it. This is serious participation with God as our partner.

Treasure maps can take any form that appeals to you. It is your own individual letter to God. Maps can be any shape or size that appeals to your imagination, or you may prefer a scrapbook as more private if you have personal goals. However simple or elaborate you make your map, it is a focus for concentration on your goals, subject to the will of God.

Building your Treasure Map

1. Begin with a large piece of poster board. Green or gold would be excellent if you are concentrating on finances; pink reminds us of divine love if you are working mainly on family matters; blue is symbolic of the power and will of God if you are still uncertain as to your complete divine plan. Use colored pictures rather than black and white, since the imagination responds more quickly to color.

2. Place a picture in the center of your map that represents the Alchemy of Precipitation to you the source of your good—a picture of Jesus, a church, an ascended master—whatever will remind you that God is the one and only place where you should look for your supply. I like to put in the center of my map the picture of Jesus as the good shepherd.

This always brings a graphic reminder to me that “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Your map always needs words—I AM affirmations, Bible verses, quotations which have a special meaning to you. Be sure to include statements of gratitude for blessings you expect to receive.

If yours is a financial map, be sure to put some money and financial figures on it. Place If yours is a financial map, be sure to put some money and financial figures on it...checks made out to you for specific amounts you will need for a certain goal. Paste play money in large amounts or gold coins on your map—anything that will force your imagination to realize that you can win and that with God all things are possible.

3. You may make a map for only one phase of your life or make it all-inclusive of your desires. It is best, however, not to clutter it with too many pictures, affirmations, etc. Make several maps if you are concentrating on various phases of your life. Sometimes a notebook works better, devoting one page to each separate goal. Another way is to make a large map and section off the various quadrants of your life.

4. Be specific when placing pictures and statements on your map. Give amount, size, dimension, color, location, timelines, etc., for your desires. Don’t forget to state by what date you want your dreams to be realized. The angels who will help bring your desires to pass need to be given specific and detailed instructions of the picture you are holding in your mind. Keep your consciousness tuned to the positive. There is absolutely nothing magical about being able to get the things you visualize, if it be the will of God. It is a law that what man imagines he can do, he can do.

5. To start the flow, place a statement about giving and receiving. What are you willing to give to God in return for his blessings? If we stop giving of ourselves, we will dam up the flow of God’s abundance and stagnate, as does a river that has no outlet, only an inlet.

6. Dedicate your treasure map to God. I remember, when I was first beginning my study of abundance and trying to bring prosperity into my life, that I was a little concerned when I first heard about treasure mapping. It seemed to me that I was trying to tell God what to do. (This was before I met Mark and Elizabeth Prophet and the ascended masters.) So concerned was I that I phoned Silent Unity, the prayer group of Unity, and told them of my concern. “Maybe God has something better for me in mind than what I am asking. How do I know that I’m not short-circuiting my goal by making a treasure map?”

The minister thought a moment and answered, “Would it make you feel any better if you placed a statement at the bottom of your map, ‘This or something better, Father, thy divine good will be done.'” That was the answer I had been looking for—the missing link, as it were, to treasure mapping. Since that day I have always included that one sentence at the bottom of my map.

7. There is a motto of the Great White Brotherhood: “To know, to dare, to do and to be silent.” The importance of keeping your alchemy and your visualization sealed cannot be overstated. Unless your map is one for a group or an organization, keep it private where only you can see it. If you confide your goals to someone, they may become jealous or envious and project all sorts of negative thoughts to you that can destroy your alchemy. You have entered upon a secret, private partnership between you and God.

Ascended Master Saint GermainSaint Germain, in his steps to precipitation, stresses the importance of privacy when he says, “Tell no man!” Do not show your map to others or discuss it with them except when several of you are working together for a common goal. Don’t put it in a place where someone who is cynical about your plans will be able to view it.

8. Spend some time each day quietly meditating upon your map. Concentration hastens the creation into manifestation. As I said before, early in the morning and just before you go to bed are excellent times when your consciousness is receptive. Repetition is important to convince your subconscious mind to be your ally in your project.

9. Do not try to decide how your desires are going to come into manifestation. That is the role that your I AM Presence fulfills—this is God’s part of the equation. Just consciously turn your requests over to God and wait in full faith that the desired outcome will be forthcoming according to his will. It is up to God to decide how and when your desires will be fulfilled.

10. You should constantly be picturing something better than the best of what you are experiencing now. The power of the imagination is always at work—either constructively or destructively. It is up to you how you decide to use this divine gift. You may think that your life at present is satisfactory and see no reason to make a treasure map. But regardless of what your present life is like, there is always hope for increased health, wealth and happiness if you follow faithfully the rules of divine alchemy.

11. Update your map as needed and as situations change. Even if you don’t have time today to paste together a whole treasure map, at least you can get a bulletin board or some sort of board where you can tack things. When you find the right images, tack them on the board and then eventually organize them into your complete treasure map.

12. And finally—patience! God’s time is not man’s time! Just give thanks for what you already have and know that at the proper time your desires may appear quite suddenly, perhaps when you least expect it, if you have turned your requests over to God and asked him to fufill them according to his will.

Continue your violet flame mantras and affirmations to transmute karma that may be coming up at the moment and blocking your precipitation.

What is Prosperity?

Prosperity is not only money—in your pocket, in the bank, in your stock portfolio and CDs. True prosperity is the sense of abundance, the sense that you have the right to live an abundant life. That you are a child of a wealthy Father and Mother who love you and want to give you all their riches.

Prosperity is your true inheritance. It is health, wealth, happiness, joy, peace, faith, hope, wisdom, being in tune with the flow of the universe and able to accept the abundance of God. And now, as the golden age of Aquarius dawns, it is time to claim your own prosperity.

Etheric Retreats

Etheric Retreats of the Ascended Masters

Darjeeling, etheric retreatIn recent eras, few among mankind have entered the etheric retreats and temples of the Great White Brotherhood. The retreats, once physical on the lost continents of Lemuria and Atlantis, were withdrawn to the realms of perfection, the etheric plane, reachable only by the most advanced initiates.

With the dawning of the Aquarian age, however, lightbearers were given again opportunity to enter these retreats just beyond physical awareness. By means of soul travel, you can visit these spiritual retreats while you sleep, as time and space are merely coordinates of infinity.

Universities of the Spirit – Retreats of the Chohans

The chohans of the rays are the closest of the Ascended Masters to humanity. The offices of the chohans are divinely appointed by the cosmic hierarchy. Each one has attained self-mastery and won the ascension by serving humanity on one or more of the seven rays.

On January 1, 1986, Gautama Buddha announced that the seven chohans of the rays had been granted approval by the Lords of Karma to open, “Universities of the Spirit in each of their etheric retreats where they might welcome not dozens or hundreds but thousands and tens of thousands of students who will diligently pursue the path of self-mastery on the seven rays systematically, mastering most especially the first and the seventh rays…”

The Seven Chohans and Their Retreats

Ascended Master El Morya, the chohan of the first ray, maintains his focus of the will of God on the etheric plane concurrent with Darjeeling, India. He is the Chief of the Darjeeling Council, a council of ascended masters of the Great White Brotherhood.

Ascended Master Lord Lanto is the chohan of the second ray, the yellow ray of illumination. He serves in the Royal Teton Retreat, the main retreat of the Great White Brotherhood on the North American continent. He is concerned with the illumination of the youth of the world.

Ascended Master Paul the Venetian is the chohan of the third ray of divine love, the pink flame. He is the hierarch at the Château de Liberté in southern France. He sponsors the ascended master culture for this age and works with all who desire to bring that culture forth on behalf of mankind.

Ascended Master Serapis Bey, chohan of the fourth ray, the great disciplinarian. Serapis Bey maintains the focus of the Ascension Temple at Luxor in Egypt. This is the place where candidates for the ascension are received, and it is considered the most difficult of these retreats to enter. Serapis Bey is the teacher of the path to the ascension.

Ascended Master Hilarion is the chohan of the fifth ray, the green ray of precipitation and truth. He was embodied as the apostle Paul. He maintains the Temple of Truth on the etheric plane near Crete. He works with atheists, agnostics, skeptics and others who have become disillusioned with life and with religion.

Ascended Lady Master Nada is the chohan of the sixth ray of ministration, service and peace. The flame of the sixth ray is purple, the color of violets, flecked with metallic gold and ruby. Nada’s retreat is in the Arabian Desert.

Ascended Master Saint Germain, the chohan of the seventh ray, holds a very important position in hierarchy in this age. The seventh ray is freedom, mercy, transmutation and ritual. Saint Germain is also the hierarch of the Aquarian age. The pulsations of the violet flame can be felt from his retreat over the House of Rakoczy in Transylvania and from the Cave of Symbols in the United States.

Rosary Novena to the Immaculate Heart

Rosary Novena to the Immaculate Heart

Pray, then for the sons and daughters of God to be in the positions of leadership in this nation.

If but one heart, [heart after heart,] should continue the rosaries unbroken, then you will know the strengthening of the cord through my own Heart to the hearts of those on earth. .

There are many changes happening behind the scenes. There are many things hidden. The political situation in this nation is a cause of great grief to my Heart. Pray, then for the sons and daughters of God to be in the positions of leadership in this nation.

It is a time to clean house, yes, to clean your house and the House of Representatives and the political bodies of the nations. It is a time to demand justice.

I ask for this perpetual novena to my Immaculate Heart to be unbroken at least through the November elections in this nation. For, beloved, if you do not, it is surely, surely an hour of the coming of the Great Darkness as pertains to those who shall lead, make policy, enact laws and legislation.
– Mother Mary, Pearl of Wisdom® Vol. 35 No. 34

Drawing the Presence of Mother Mary with the Rosary

When you utter the words “Hail, Mary, full of grace,” immediately I arc my Presence over you as the Mother Ray. And as you by your devotion fill in more and more of that Light week upon week, blessed hearts, you shall know my strength in your body, you shall know the immortality of the mind and the spirit, you shall know a certain lightness [in order that you might] bear a certain world heaviness, you shall know what it means to be stepping in the sandals of an Archeia, and you shall know that putting on immortality is a certain gradual process that you [ritualize] day by day by day.

Be strengthened in my Presence. Pause to listen to my heart communing with your heart. Pause to tell me, if you can articulate it, what is your sorrow, what is your burden, what is your joy.
– Mother Mary, Pearl of Wisdom Vol. 35 No. 4

Pray the Rosary

From the lecture given by Elizabeth Clare Prophet on August 9, 1998, during the celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the Summit Lighthouse and Mother Mary’s Ascension Day (Pearl of Wisdom Vol. 41 No. 39).

In response to Mother Mary, I believe it is imperative that we all give a rosary daily. Therefore in honor of Mother Mary’s ascension day and her Fátima message, I ask you to join with us in giving Mother Mary’s Scriptural Rosary for the New Age each day this coming week. We will be giving this rosary here in the Court every evening during our violet-flame vigil.

After this week, I encourage you to continue giving a rosary every day in order to fulfill the Blessed Mother’s request at Fátima. If you cannot give the long rosary, you can choose to give the shorter, 15-minute Child’s Rosary. We have eight long rosaries on tape,* and four tape albums and a CD of short rosaries* that can be used to give your devotions to Mother Mary. What a wonderful opportunity it is to spend even 15 minutes each day speaking to the Blessed Mother and turning over to her your personal burdens and the burdens of the world. These scriptural rosaries are beautiful devotions to Mother Mary.

We are going to start our vigil by giving the Healing Mysteries Rosary for the Fifth Ray followed by decree 56.03, “The Fátima Prayers” and “The Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”

Consider the breakup of the Soviet Union and consider the wonderful and most beautiful souls that have come out from Russia to the United States, to this point of contact with us—to this very Court. They are tremendous souls and we are most grateful to have them in our community. And we send that message to you across the waves and to your hearts.

51. Ritual Drama

51. Ritual Drama

  • Why has the drama of life itself been taken out of so many people’s lives?
  • Was Shakespeare and other great playwrights actually telling us how to move from one plane of consciousness to the next?
  • How does giving the rosary relates to this drama?
  • What is the outcome of this ritual that you describe?
  • If we are denied the ritual, are we denied the outcome of the ritual?
  • So, there’s no “salvation made easy” course?
  • What is the true meaning of destiny?

Elizabeth Clare Prophet, when you talk about ritual, it seems that what you’re really talking about is the drama of life itself. Drama is one of those elements that has been taken out of so many people’s lives. Why has that happened?

I think that people have replaced the great drama of God’s appearing with the melodrama of their own carnal minds parading on the stage of life. When God and Job were discoursing and God answered Job out of the whirlwind, he said:

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

The point is: Who is man that he can stand and declare that we must eliminate ritual from the universe, when all of life is the great ritual drama of life unfolding—when, as God said, “the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy”?

Ritual is the alchemical ingredient of life. It’s the chemistry whereby God becomes man and man becomes God.

And this is the goal of the entire flow of creation over the magnificent figure-eight spiral of infinity whereby Spirit becomes Matter and Matter becomes Spirit continuously in the nucleus of the atom.

It seems to me that Shakespeare and other great playwrights were actually telling us in their dramas how to move from one plane of consciousness to the next, which sounds very much like what you describe when you talk about ritual. Is this the work of the masters themselves?

The soul needs the ritual drama of life and her meditation upon the stars to transcend the mundane and reach for the great Macrocosm of being. On earth today people want instant religion, instant God—like instant pudding. And they want it to replace a process, an alchemical process that must include redemption, that must include the kneeling before Almighty God and confessing, “I have erred. I have gone out of the way of the Tree of Life and I desire to return. I call on the law of forgiveness and I accept the living God in the presence of his Son, the Lord Christ, as my Saviour.”

The Eternal FatherGod answers our prayer with a whirlwind action of the sacred fire that is the coming of the Holy Spirit, the coming of the Comforter. The Comforter gives us the original teaching of Jesus Christ and of the Cosmic Virgin, and we learn of the science of the Word, which is our means of taking dominion over the earth.

When I go to the altar of God, I realize that that altar is a place where I may alter, or change, my consciousness through the great alchemy of the sacred fire.

I know God is the Great Alchemist, even as I see him as the Great Dramatist writing the script of my life. And if I can follow this script and make my will become the will of God, wedded in the alchemical marriage of my soul’s reunion with the Spirit, then I can live my life as the instrument of the LORD.

In her ritual of the rosary, Mother Mary teaches us to follow the greatest ritual drama that has ever been written and portrayed. It is the life of Jesus Christ. In this drama we see the incarnation of the infant Child become the World Saviour. We see him putting on the consciousness of God layer by layer—passing through his initiations, giving forth the teachings and then going through the great betrayal, the crucifixion and the ultimate glory.

There is no finer rendition by any dramatist anywhere of the metamorphosis that must occur whereby that which is conceived of the “earth, earthy” becomes the living Son of God—from the first man, Adam, to the last man, Christ, the Son who is the Real Self of each and every son and daughter of God.

Would you explain exactly how giving the rosary relates to this ritual?

Mother of the World, RoerichThe rosary is our soul’s meditation upon God as we rise to the level of the Christ within the heart. And we meditate alternately upon Mary the Mother as the focal point of our own incarnation of the Motherhood of God and upon Jesus Christ for our realization of the fullness of that divine Sonship within us. Through the Mother and the Son we reach the Father, and in the Father we are reborn according to his immaculate design.

The rosary, then, is for the balance of the masculine and feminine polarity of being. And this is achieved by our contemplation of the life and the experiences of Jesus as we give the adoration of the Hail Mary.

Our meditation upon the events in the life of Jesus and the stations of the cross enables us to also pass through the experiences that Jesus passed through and therefore to participate in this drama—to become the drama with him, walking the stations of the cross. God thereby reenacts within us these most sacred events in Jesus’ life, which is to become our very own life. When we finally are able to totally equate with the life of Mary and Jesus and other saints, then we ourselves will be able to put on their consciousness of victory, of the resurrection and of the ascension.

As we are willing to enter this path, Mary and Jesus, the hosts of the LORD, Archangel Michael and the angels come to us each day. And each day becomes a little ritual whereby we are given an important lesson in cosmic law through a circumstance in our life created by our own karma. This path is called the path of initiation because our souls are being initiated.

We no sooner conclude our rosary in the morning than we are beset with all of the problems of the day and the challenges that life joyously presents to us. We do not walk the via dolorosa because we are not sad, we are not in a sinful sense, we are not in a sense of shame. But we are in a sense of glory because from glory unto glory we know that we are putting on the consciousness of God.

Mrs. Prophet, what is the outcome of this ritual that you describe?

New consciousness, new life—a joy that is indescribable!

If we are denied the ritual, are we denied the outcome of the ritual?

Precisely. This is why the fallen ones have entered into the churches, into the governments and into the economies of the nations and stripped us of the great ritual drama of life, which is such a necessary process. In its place, they offer that old instant pudding—that one-two-three formula and you’ve got salvation. It deprives us of the entire path of overcoming and working toward a goal. It destroys initiative and leaves us absolutely impotent as sons and daughters of God.

So there’s no “salvation made easy” course?

There is no instant pudding at the altar of God. There is a working out of our salvation “with fear and trembling,” as Paul said. And that fear is the tremendous awe of the Almighty and of his power and what this power can do if we misuse it.

The example of Gandhi – a non-violent move for soul independence

Many sons of God have shown us by their example the ritual of becoming one with God. Take Mohandas Gandhi. In his life we see the great ritual drama of his soul moving from childhood closer and closer to God until so much of God is in him that he can move all of the people of India into one united effort for independence.

In his salt march, Gandhi started walking to the sea with seventy-eight of his followers. It became a gathering momentum. He went from village to village and more and more people followed him, until there were thousands. After reaching the coastal town of Dandi, he went down to the water and picked up a pinch of salt from the sand.

This gesture signaled the Indian people to gather salt in direct disobedience to British law, which forbade them to gather or make their own salt. He thus declared the independence of the soul to forge its own God-identity without the superpowers governing it and controlling it, dominating it until it becomes a vegetable.

This is the true meaning of destiny, then, is it not?

Destiny means Deity-established-in-you. It is a process, a ritual whereby we begin with an opportunity given to us by God. By free will we choose to become that opportunity. And working the works of God daily and letting the Father work through us, we fulfill our destiny as one with the immortals, as sons and daughters of God reuniting with him in the glorious ritual of the ascension.

The ascension is our destiny. It is the goal of life whereby we accelerate consciousness, moving from the lesser self to the Greater Self, and find ourselves one with God, hence one with eternal life.
